Chelsea Transfer News: John Terry Set For Valencia?

Mail Online, John Terry has been offered an opportunity to escape his "torrid time" at Chelsea and join Spanish side Valencia when the transfer window reopens in January. The last few months have seen Terry stripped of the England armband, handed fines from the FA and Chelsea, where he remains captain, as well as being banned for four matches for racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand, and he now has the chance to leave England and rebuild his reputation in Spain. According to that report in the Mail, FIFA agent Francois Gallardo claims that the Blues skipper has already been offered an 18-month contract by Valencia, with the option for another year, and that Terry, whose current contract expires in 2014, is ready to accept the offer. Gallardo spoke to Radio Intereconomia:

"Valencia are negotiating, and I am involved in person, with the signing in the winter transfer market. The offer is on his table. The player is out of contract in June and will not renew there for several reasons at Chelsea and he wants to come to Spain."

Gallardo also sensationally confirms that Terry asked for a move, after refusing to take anymore of his current treatment in England: "Terry has problems. They are insulting him and he is not taking it anymore. He asked to leave, not us. It€™s real. This has been going on for 15 days and two meetings have already took place.
