In Chelsea's attempt to part the Premier League waves, they look set to up their bid for Moses. Victor Moses, that is. Wigan's versatile attacker, now in the final year of his current contract at the DW Stadium, is seen by new Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo as a vital piece of his Premier League jigsaw to elevate the Blues into challenging for the title once again. However it is becoming clear he will have to pay out more than the £3.5m he has so far offered if he's to convince Dave Whelan and Roberto Martinez into selling their prized asset, especially as Moses' former club Crystal Palace are reportedly due 20% of any transfer deal. The Daily Mail reports today that Chelsea could be preparing a £10 million move to secure Moses' services. At just 21, Moses' exuberance, energy and soaring potential dictate his transfer fee. But though money is hardly a thing of worry at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea may be reluctant to part with too much more than £10 million based on potential alone and will look to drive the fee down to avoid another cash clanger. The Nigerian international scored six times for Wigan last season and can play in any of the forward positions.
