Chelsea Transfers: 10 Players Screwed By Blues' Ludicrous Transfer Policies

1. Romelu Lukaku

Perhaps the most high profile of the lot, there has not really been much more that striking sensation Romelu Lukaku could have done to prove his worth to Chelsea. Proving to be a hit at West Bromwich Albion two seasons ago where he scored 17 league goals during a loan spell, Lukaku enhanced his growing reputation further by nearly firing Everton into the Champions League last season. Despite a host of European clubs chasing him, Jose Mourinho now doesn't believe that Lukaku has what it takes to lead the Chelsea line for the coming seasons. Everton are hoping to secure the signing of the powerful Belgian striker on a permanent deal in the coming weeks, in a deal that will surely see Chelsea again secure some sort of profit for one of European football's hottest properties. At this stage in his career, Lukaku needs to kick on and continue playing top level football week in, week out. With Mourinho's mind made up and a new £32 million striker in Diego Costa now down as competition, Lukaku will likely have to prove himself somewhere else.
