Chelsea Transfers - 10 Strikers To Fire The Blues To Title Glory In 2015
6. Alvaro Morata
Another former player Jose Mourinho could sign as he looks to add goals to his side is Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata. The young Spain international has gradually been coming to prominence of late, breaking into Madrid's first team and scoring eight La Liga goals last season to attract the interest of Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United. But Chelsea could have the edge, with Morata speaking highly of Mourinho in the past, crediting the Portuguese with getting his playing career off the ground during the pair's time together at the Bernabeu. The 21-year-old once said:
"To Jose Mourinho I owe a great deal for promoting me up to the first team and I will always have a special feeling towards him. He is an incredible coach."
Could the pair be reunited? With Morata set to break into Spain's senior set-up having after featuring so impressively for the U-21 side, scoring 13 goals in 12 appearances, he'd make a fantastic signing for the Blues, and has his best years in front of him. But Mourinho may opt for someone with more experience this summer.
