Chelsea Transfers - 10 Strikers To Fire The Blues To Title Glory In 2015
7. Gonzalo Higuain
Could Jose Mourinho turn to one of his former players as he looks to abate his striker crisis at Stamford Bridge next season? Gonzalo Higuain was on the radar of a string of English sides last summer with Chelsea, Liverpool and, more famously, Arsenal all showing an interest in the Argentina international. And Higuain admitted he was coveted by the Blues, claiming Mourinho wanted to take him to west London. Instead, however, he opted to leave then-club Real Madrid in favour of Napoli, but in spite of this, again popped up on Chelsea's radar this January with the Londoners reportedly prepared to pay £50 million for his services. Higuain enjoyed a stellar season in Italy last term, scoring 24 goals in 44 overall appearances as well as providing 11 assists. He is a player Mourinho knows well, too, with the pair each spending time together at Real. Having only been at Napoli for 12 months, however, it remains to be seen if he can be tempted by a move to England so soon after moving to Italy.
