5. Didier Drogba
Didier Drogba could be in line for a sensational return to Chelsea this summer, according to
Metro. The Ivory Coast international left Stamford Bridge last summer following the club's Champions League win and joined Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua, before moving on to Turkish outfit Galatasaray. Now, with 12 months remaining on his deal with Gala, the 35-year-old could be set for an emotional return. The
Metro are reporting that manager Jose Mourinho is keen on being reunited with Drogba and the two enjoyed much success together after both joined the club in 2004 following the Roman Abramovich take-over. Together, they won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and two League Cups while Drogba went on to lift one further league title and the Champions League following Mourinho's departure in 2007. Given Drogba's age, he certainly wouldn't be a long-term replacement for Torres, but could at least plug the gap for a season or so - particularly if the Blues miss out on Wayne Rooney this summer.
