Chelsea Transfers: 5 Questions That Mourinho Must Address This Summer

1. Could There Be Any Other Signings Or Sales?

As we have seen so often in football, never rule anything out, and especially with the "Special One" in charge at Chelsea once again. Having had an offer for Wayne Rooney refused by Manchester United in the previous summer, Chelsea could come back for the England striker again this summer, and should Rooney fail to sign a new deal with United, they could well be forced into selling one of their prized assets. Additionally, a poor season so far for United could mean a lack of Champions League football next season, which could be another considerable factor for Rooney in his decision on signing a new deal. Meanwhile, a player who has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the past is David Luiz, who played an integral part in midfield in the victory away to Manchester City on Monday night, and who has been strongly linked to Barcelona. It has been no hidden secret that Barcelona are in the market for a replacement for ageing Carles Puyol, who at 35 has been suffering from injury in recent times and a replacement for their influential captain is deemed as a priority at the Catalan Club. Luckily for Chelsea fans, Luiz could be out of reach given his standing at Chelsea, where he has made himself a household name for his powerful play from both defence and midfield. There will be many links to moves to and from Chelsea in the coming months as we lead up to what promises to be a very busy and colourful summer. And with the World Cup in Brazil, we can expect a flurry of transfer activity just as we have done following previous major International tournaments. How do you think Mourinho should answer these questions in the summer? Share your thoughts below in the comments thread.
