Chelsea Transfers: 5 Reasons Why The Blues Need A New Striker This January

2. A Quality Striker Would Thrive On Chelsea€™s Creative Options

I know a lot of us look at the Chelsea striker and feel they don€™t have an obvious option to play in the lone striker role, and that is a clear sign that they don€™t have the player that they need. However, when we look at other areas of the squad we think that they have some amazing options. The creative area in the midfield is probably the one that is stronger than any other, and in some ways it seems that they have too many options in this area. However, the task for Mourinho is to find the right balance in the team - something that we feel he hasn€™t always done this season. The options that players like Eden Hazard, Oscar, Juan Mata, Willian and Andre Schurrle would give a quality striker is scary to think about. In terms of chances created, the team is doing a pretty good job with 16.4 shots per game. Hazard has been particularly strong this season contributing in both goals and assists, Mourinho must just feel that a quality forward would make all the difference €“ but it€™s still a question of finding the right player in what has proved to be a very difficult period to do business in over the years.
