4. Ezequiel Garay

Chelsea fought tooth and nail to keep hold of centre-back David Luiz over the summer in the wake of Barcelona's interest. And the Blues are set to
brace themselves for another raid from the Nou Camp giants in January, who, along with Cech, are also still keen on the Brazilian. If the Londoners are to sell Luiz, clearly they will need a replacement, and could swap one South American for another by following through
with their interest in Ezequiel Garay by making a bid. Both Chelsea, and Mourinho, are familiar with the 26-year-old. Garay spent a season playing under the management of The Special One during his ill-fated stay at Real Madrid, and it was the Portuguese boss who ultimately oversaw his sale to Benfica in 2011. The defender also played against Chelsea in the Europa League Final earlier this year, which the Blues won. Even if the Londoners retain the services of Luiz, they still need to start considering long-term replacements for the veteran John Terry, and Garay could be just that.
