Chelsea Transfers: 5 Signings Jose Mourinho Must Make To Challenge For The Title

4. Marouane Fellaini

Chelsea are hoping to exploit the period of upheaval currently engulfing Goodison Park following manager David Moyes' departure to Manchester United by triggering Marouane Fellaini's release clause. The Belgian international has faced an uncertain future ever since news of the clause, rumoured to be around £22 million, first surfaced back in January. That led to a flurry of rumours that the midfield star was set to quit in the winter window but he stayed put, for the time being at least. Also tracked by Arsenal and Manchester United, Chelsea are keen on bringing the Everton man to Stamford Bridge this summer as they look to add some steel to their midfield. Fellaini is one of the Premier League's best utility men and can play both offensively and defensively, which would provide Mourinho with plenty of options in the middle of the park next season.
