2. Wayne Rooney
Wayne Rooney is set to undergo "crunch talks" with new United manager David Moyes this week but the general feeling is that his Old Trafford stay
is coming to an end. The England striker is unhappy that he was played out of position last season, benched for key games and had his fitness levels publicly questioned by former manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Despite denying that he has handed in a second transfer request in three years, he is thought to be on the brink at United, while former assistant manager Mike Phelan today claimed the star could be
set for a fresh challenge at another club. Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are all said to be monitoring Rooney's current situation and all have a keen interest, particularly the former, who are said to be
preparing a £20 million bid. There are still doubts over the future of Fernando Torres in West London, and the Spaniard was reportedly involved in
a failed player-plus-cash offer for Napoli's Edinson Cavani, while Demba Ba is being tipped for a
loan move to West Brom. All that means the Blues could be in the market for two new strikers and one of them could be Wayne Rooney. Click "Next" to see who the other one could be.
