1. Wayne Rooney
The Manchester United striker is Chelsea's
"only transfer target" this summer, according to Mourinho. The Blues have seen two offers for the 27-year-old knocked back by United over the past month, the most recent of which being a bid of
£25 million plus add-ons. Chelsea are determined to get their man this summer and United are determined not to sell to a main Premier League title rival, meaning this saga could
drag on to the last day of the transfer window on September 2. Rooney is understood to be unhappy at United having been benched for key games last season, forced to play an unfamiliar midfield role and had his fitness levels publicly contested by former manager Sir Alex Ferguson. And the England star could be about to call time on a glittering nine-season stay at Old Trafford that has taken in five Premier League titles, two League Cups, three Community Shields, a Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
