Chelsea Transfers: 5 Strikers To Replace Didier Drogba

Five players across Europe that we think are up to the mark and could very well be great successors to the Chelsea legend.

5. Robert Lewandowski

A young, promising striker who was seen as second fiddle to Lucas Barrios two years ago at Borussia Dortmund, but when the opportunity came for Robert Lewandowski he took it and seized it with both hands. After finishing last season as the Bundesliga's third top scorer and helping Dortmund achieve a majestic domestic double, it's no surprise Robert Lewandowski is the latest name being linked with every major club in the transfer market. Lewandowski was also awarded the Bundesliga Player of the Season trophy beating the likes of Mario Gomez, Shinji Kagawa and Klaas Jan Huntelaar. Fantastic positioning, lethal in the air, and a great composure in front of goal are just a few of the attributes which have led Lewandowski to becoming Dortmund's and the national team's first choice centre forward. Though he may not possess the physical qualities of Drogba, there's no reason why Robert Lewandowski cannot be the new goal predator at the Bridge.
