4. Tottenham Hotspur
Frank Lampard actually trialled at Spurs along with other London clubs before accepting West Hams offer, and on a short term contract until the end of the season he could be a very useful signing for Spurs. Competing in three competitions still and with Moussa Dembele carrying a worrying hip injury that ruled him out earlier in the season (coinciding with Spurs bad run of form), Tottenham have found it difficult to break down defensive, organised teams, especially at home. A 0-0 stalemate versus Stoke, goalless going into half time against Aston Villa despite having 15 corners and all the possession, plus tight wins against Swansea (1-0) and Sunderland (2-1) despite having most of the possession, most of the territory and the majority of the chances, all indicate that some extra fire power, especially from the centre of midfield, could be most useful. Not the natural playmaker that Spurs are desperately crying out for, Lampard does move the ball on quickly and loves to get beyond the strikers something neither Dembele, Parker or Sandro do. Rumours are that Spurs are looking to sign Germany and Schalke starlet Lewis Holtby on a bosman free transfer in the summer, so Lampard could be a perfect stop gap until then.
