Chelsea Transfers: Predicting Mourinho's Plan B & C If Rooney Bid Fails

Plan C - Radamel Falcao

Radamel Falcao Radamel Falcao only joined newly-promoted French club Monaco two months ago and his purchase was viewed at the time as a huge statement of intent from the ambitious Ligue 1 club when he arrived for £50 million from Atletico Madrid. However, things have turned sour since with news that the Colombian goal-machine wants to leave the Stade Louis II already. Monaco are currently embroiled in a dispute with French footballing authorities over a tax issue relating to the fact Falcao is receiving a massive tax-free salary, not afforded to the other Ligue 1 outfits. And this, according to the Red and White's rivals, gives them an unfair advantage. Now, Monaco could be clobbered with a £75 million fine unless they sell, which could re-open one of the summer's biggest transfer sagas. Falcao was linked with Chelsea, Manchester City and United before he moved to France and all three could be back in the hunt for the striker, who netted 28 La Liga goals in 33 appearances for Atletico last season and who has already scored 2 Ligue 1 goals in as many appearances for Monaco. Who do you think is on Jose Mourinho's Plan A and C list this summer? Do you think Chelsea will sign Rooney? Let us know in the comment section, below.
