Of Chelsea's eight signings, Cristian Cuevas is one of the lesser-known new recruits. The 18-year-old joined the Blues early on in the summer in a
£3 million deal and was almost instantly sent out on loan to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem. It's little wonder the Chilean international was farmed out of Stamford Bridge considering Ashley Cole and Ryan Bertrand are ahead of him in the left-back pecking order, but that's not to say Cuevas can't one day prove his importance to the Europa League champions. Though not the finished article yet, the starlet, who can also play on the left-wing, could stake his claim for first-choice left-back at Stamford Bridge in the years to come, though he has much to prove before that happens.
