4. Make Sure David Luiz Is Nowhere Near The Back Four
It may sound drastic but the hirsute Brazilian does not belong anywhere near a defence. The 26-year-old has been present and incorrect in six of the club's eight goals conceded in the league this season, and although he may not have been directly responsible for all six, his manner of play has done nothing to settle the usually solid Mourinho setup. The former Benfica man has made less tackles than Juan Mata so far this season, and has committed more fouls than any other Chelsea player per game, quite a feat for defender. The Brazil international has sometimes been used as a defensive midfielder, and this is probably the safest position for both him and his side, where he can take more risks than if he is the last line of defence. At the start of the season he was not used in any of the club's opening three games, with his coach seemingly content with John Terry and Gary Cahill in defence, why he decided otherwise is anyone's guess.
