Club-by-Club Premier League Record Appearance Makers

4. Swansea City - Ashley Williams (109)

You would be forgiven for thinking that Leon Britton was Swansea's all-time record appearance holder in the Premier League. After all, he has played for the Swans in all four levels of the Football League, but even he falls short of Ashley Williams' record of 109. Since joining from Stockport County in 2008, Williams has established himself as a popular figure at Liberty Stadium as well as one of the best defenders in England's topflight, and will go down as a modern-day great due to his unrivalled number of outings for the club.

3. Spurs - Darren Anderton (299)

Despite Darren Anderton's Tottenham career being ravaged by a series of injuries, the attacking midfielder was still able to become the Lilywhite's record appearance maker in the Premier League with his 299 appearances. Anderton spent a 12-year career at White Hart Lane and would surely have broken through the 300-outings barrier had manager-at-the-time Jacques Santini not reneged on a contract offer in 2004. Santini himself bizarrely left the club that year when he resigned after just 13 games in charge of the Londoners.
