Club-by-Club Premier League Record Appearance Makers

12. Liverpool - Jamie Carragher (508)

Say it quietly, but Jamie Carragher is a boyhood Everton fan and played for both the Toffees' and Liverpool's youth academies. Ssh. Still, that dastardly secret didn't stop him playing for the red half of Merseyside when he swapped Goodison Park for Anfield in 1990 and he never looked back, graduating into their senior side in 1996 and playing over 500 Premier League games. Ex-teammate Steven Gerrard is zeroing in on the defender's record of 508 appearances and will surely break it, but for the time being at least the centre-back makes our list of greats.

11. Man City - Richard Dunne (253)

This one sounds a little odd considering Manchester City have boasted so many star performers in their ranks in the past, such as the exotic Robinho, Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero. But it's the comparatively workaday Richard Dunne who currently holds the most appearances for the Citizens, with 253 to his name. Dunne played in the pre-moneyed era of City's past and was at one point their captain, but left shortly after the Abu Dhabi United Group's takeover of the club to join Aston Villa in 2009.
