Club-by-Club Premier League Record Appearance Makers
10. Man Utd - Ryan Giggs (632)
Ryan Giggs spent so long at Manchester United that he went through two different names and two different roles over the course of his 24 year playing career. He started out as Ryan Wilson before adopting his mother Lynne's surname and becoming the household name that he is today. Giggs made 632 Premier League appearances for United and is the most decorated player in the English game having won the league 13 times and the Champions League twice. He became player-coach last season following David Moyes's sacking before hanging up his boots this summer to become successor Louis van Gaal's No.2.
9. Newcastle Utd - Shay Given (354)
Considered one of the Premier League's greatest ever goalkeepers, Shay Given is also considered one of Newcastle United's best ever players and still enjoys cult-status in the north east. He is the Magpies' record appearance holder in England's topflight having made 354 outings for the club but also spent time playing for Blackburn Rovers, Manchester City and Aston Villa, while he also saw loan spells at Swindon Town, Sunderland (yes, Sunderland) and Middlesbrough. Still, despite playing for the Black Cats his reputation at St James' Park is undiminished.
