5. Michigan State Spartans (13-1, 8-0 Big Ten)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqJVBkk6wW4 College Football's sweetheart for 2013 was Mark Dantonio and the Michigan State Spartans, who dominated the Big Ten en route to upset victories over #2 Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship Game, and #5 Stanford in the 2014 Rose Bowl. Things will be tougher for the #1 ranked defense in the country, losing two senior Defensive Tackles, Linebackers, and All-american Cornerback Darqueze Dennard. The Spartans "No-Fly Zone" will be tested early with a visit to Eugene to take on Heisman contender Marcus Mariota and the Oregon Ducks. The offense will return both Quarterback Connor Cook and starting RB Jeremy Langford, but the real question is can Michigan State produce more than the did last season? The road to Indianapolis is much tougher than last season, with visits from Ohio State and Michigan highlighting the 2014 schedule, if the Spartans can vault past either in East Lansing, a trip to the college football playoff could be in their future. Projected 2014 Record: (10-2, 7-1 Big Ten)
