TEAMtalk have published fresh news on Cristiano Ronaldo's Real Madrid status, and the website claim to have the inside scoop on a new and improved contract for the Portuguese superstar.

According to recent reports, Ronaldo has demanded that his annual salary will increase from €21 million per year (after taxes) to a whopping €75 million per year. Madrid's own El Partidazo radio show were the first ones to report this rumour.

CR7 has been linked with a shock return to Man Utd during the summer transfer window. Rumours persist of a turbulent relationship with Real president Florentino Perez, but it seems Ronaldo will wait to find out who Madrid appoint as the successor to departing manager Zinedine Zidane before making up his mind.

As a five-time Champions League winner who virtually guarantees goals in big games, Ronaldo would be a massive loss to Real's hopes of winning the trophy for an unprecedented fourth year running. At the same time, he'd be a massive coup for fellow countryman José Mourinho at Old Trafford.

The plot, just like Cristiano's wallet, seems set to thicken over the next few days.
