Crystal Palace 1-2 Bournemouth - 6 Things We Learned

6. Palace Start Well And Then Fade

Against Bournemouth, Crystal Palace had the better of the early exchanges and eventually took the lead through Scott Dann. However, once again they somehow contrived to end up the losing side. The same story could be said of the Aston Villa game where Palace carved them open in the first minute leading to Zaha hitting the post, which was then followed up by a completely insipid performance and defeat. Against Man City and Chelsea, Palace once again had the better of the opening exchanges before falling apart. Finally, when Palace played Spurs and Bournemouth, they actually managed to take the lead before surrendering to defeat again. The club clearly has the confidence to start well but they are hitting a brick wall in every game at the moment and will need to solve how to get past it soon.
