1. Michu
copyright Andrew OrchardAn alternative to Peter Crouch who would rustle up rather more excitement at Selhurst Park is Michu (or Miguel Pérez Cuesta). Since that incredible 2012/13 season which was good enough to secure the Spaniard an international cap he has been a highly respected Premier League striker an ongoing ankle complaint has seen his hype dwindle massively however. At this stage he seems so prone to injury that Swansea are rumoured to be interested in offloading him. Injured or not, Palace would likely take the gamble to try and nurse Michu back to that 2012/13 form. Michu is comparable to an upgraded Chamakh so would surely already have a space to fill in the Palace squad. The 28-year-old forward likes to play a deeper roll; using his strength to hold the play up and link up with his midfielders. He also has excellent killer instincts in front of goal with a reliable finish and great ability in the air. If theres any player who the Eagles can realistically snap-up to solve last seasons goal scoring issues, Michu is certainly that man. The Spaniard would make the perfect spearhead to Palaces rapid offence.
