3. Richard Dunne
Richard Dunne offers exactly what a side like Palace needs to stay up in the upcoming Premier League campaign: leadership, experience and commitment. Though Dunne may be more known for his own goals than his footballing prowess, he remains one of the most experienced Premier League players and would be a good addition to Ian Holloway's back four. Dunne has spent 17 years in the English top flight and represented Ireland 77 times in his accomplished career, and was recently released by Aston Villa. So, the Irish man will cost nothing and could be lured in by the prospect of staying in the English Premier League. He may also partner up with fellow ROI international Damien Delaney, a partnership which could prove to be a decent one in the upcoming campaign. Though Dunne spent a large part of the 2012-13 season on the sidelines and Villa boss Lambert decided against renewing his country due to this as well as his mantra of youth over experience. Holloway, however, has not been one to pick youngsters instead of experienced players and therefore his Palace side and the Irishman may be a match made in footballing heaven.
