Earlier today we brought you the news that Demba Ba and his advisers will hold transfer talks with Chelsea over the coming days regarding a proposed move to Stamford Bridge in a deal that could rise up to £12.5 million. Ba joined West Ham from German side 1899 Hoffenheim in 2011 and though his stay at Upton Park was short, he managed 7 goals for the club but could not save them from relegation. That same year he left Upton Park on a free despite the clubs best efforts to keep him and joined Newcastle United. There, he scored an impressive 16 times for them in the 2011/12 season to inspire the Magpies to 5th place in the table and becoming their top goal scorer in the process. He has managed 13 strikes so far this season.
