1. Much Maligned McClaren Silences Critics

Everyone remembers "the wally with the brolly" and other tabloid headlines about current County head coach McClaren when he was in charge of England.

An ill-fated spell at Forest two years ago gave everyone a chance to dig out those old cuttings. Wolfsburg and a second spell at Twente followed without success too.

McClaren chose to come back to his coaching roots at Derby when the opportunity presented itself this autumn. One defeat in his first nine games shows what a good fit this is for both boss and club.

It comes across that he has learned from experience and mistakes made both in English football and abroad. McClaren has already transformed the Rams from mid-table mediocrity into promotion hopefuls. The Pride is back at Pride Park!
