Aston Villa Next Manager: 8 Reasons Why Gary Neville Could Transform The Club

7. Potential Link-Up With Manchester United

It remains to be seen who will manage Manchester United next season, but whether it is Louis van Gaal, Ryan Giggs or Jose Mourinho, they may be open to finding a home for some of their emerging youth talent. If Villa were to appoint Neville as their manager, then the West Midlands giants would surely be seen as the most attractive option. Not only would their prospects gain experience from playing for what could potentially be the biggest club in the Championship and who will be looking for promotion, they would also gain the minutes they will not get at Old Trafford. Aside from Marcus Rashford, it is unlikely that the young crop of players introduced by Van Gaal's in the last couple of months will feature heavily in next season's squad but they still possess the quality to star in a promotion-winning campaign at the second tier. Imagine if Villa could sign any three from Will Keane, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, James Wilson, Tyler Blackett or even Paddy McNair? It could be argued that David Moyes could offer the same kind of pull for United's emerging stars, but given his unsuccessful time at Old Trafford, Villa would be best advised to give the nod to Neville to maximise the possibility of securing this option.
