England: 6 Players Who Need To Be Given A Chance Against Denmark
4. Luke Shaw
The only player on this list to have literally no senior international experience, and only making his Under-21 debut in 2013, Luke Shaw may be an outside bet to make the squad for Brazil, but is widely regarded as the most talented young full back England have produced in years and it makes sense to bed him in the international set up now for the inevitable time in the near future when the highly experienced Ashley Cole has to step aside. Southampton have enjoyed a superb season in only their second year back in the Premier League, even despite the disruption caused by the departure of chairman Nicola Cortese, and a large part of that is down to how their youth academy continues to churn out top class players. With his ability to break forward with pace, Shaw's attacking play down the left flank is reminiscent of his Saints predecessor Gareth Bale, meaning a possible secondary use as a left winger. This is the kind of versatility that could secure Shaw a surprise place in the final squad as he provides a different option. Rumours are rife of a deal upwards of £20 million to take Shaw from the St. Mary's to one of the top Premier League clubs this summer. If so then he is almost certain to feature more in the qualifiers for Euro 2016.
