England Man 'Flattered' By Man Utd Interest

Tottenham Hotspur golden boy Harry Kane has admitted that he is aware of the interest from Manchester United and finds it flattering that a club of such magnitude is keeping tabs on him. Speaking to Sky Sports, the 21-year-old explained, "Of course I have have seen the interest. It is flattering for other clubs to maybe be interested." The Old Trafford side are in the hunt for a new striker this summer, following the departure of Radamel Falcao, and speculation has been rife that Kane is the primary target. Various reports of impending bids have surfaced in the last few weeks - ranging from a £50 million player swap deal involving Javier Hernandez, Nani and Adnan Januzaj, to a £40 million straight cash offer. However, for the time being, it is understood that United are yet to follow up their interest with any formal contact or enquiry. It is little wonder that the 20-time English champions should be taking a serious look at Kane. Last season, Louis van Gaal bemoaned the lack of a 20-goal striker in his squad, while Kane became the first Tottenham player to score 30 goals in a single season since Gary Lineker in the 1991/92 campaign. United officials will have their work cut out dealing with notorious White Hart Lane chairman Daniel Levy, though. Kane himself, while flattered, is also not looking to actively push for a move away from the club that gave him his chance. "I am happy at Spurs and I look forward to the future with Spurs. I have seen there is interest but that's all I know," he said of the situation.
