Everton Next Manager: 5 Replacements For David Moyes

2. Roberto Martinez

Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is considered one of the front runners for the Everton job if and when David Moyes quits for Old Trafford, and the popular Spaniard could quit the Latics if they go down this season. Club chairman Dave Whelan has previously insisted he will not sack manager Martinez if the team are relegated this season - but the former Swansea manager might not want to stick around. The lure of European football could be enough to tempt Martinez into quitting the club for Everton, who rate him quite highly after he guided unfashionable Wigan to this season's FA Cup Final, providing them with an opportunity to win the first piece of silverware in their history. However, his detractors have criticised him for repeatedly flirting with relegation during his tenure at Wigan. If he can beat the drop yet again though he would be doing his CV - and his club - a huge favour.
