Everton vs Chelsea: 5 Key Battles

5. Coleman v Schurrle

Exciting Irish full-back Seamus Coleman faces what is probably his toughest test of the season so far when he comes up against German international Andre Schurrle. The German has made an impressive start to his Chelsea career and looks to be an incredible prospect for Mourinho's Chelsea side. Seamus Coleman has made a sublime start to his first season under new manager Roberto Martinez and he doesn't look like taking his foot off the gas any time soon. Having helped Everton keep two clean-sheets in the opening three games, Coleman is looking great value for the 5 years he currently has left on his contract. Andre Schurrle on the other hand, is a classy winger, whose excellent fitness levels and high work-rate could prove fruitful against Coleman, a man who never seems to stop running. Schurrle is fast, and is therefore definitely able to instigate incredibly devastating counter-attacks, which Everton's relatively slow team could find difficult to deal with. If Coleman is caught out of position at any stage, Schurrle has the ability to punish him for his naivety. Having said that, Coleman is smart enough not to get taken advantage of like that.
