Everton’s 2004/05 Champions League Qualifying Squad – Where Are They Now?
21. Leon Osman
Never the most technically-gifted midfielder, but one with blue blood running through his veins, a young Leon Osman broke into the Everton first team in 2004-05 following a fruitful loan spell with Derby County in the second tier. He usually featured on the right wing of a 4-1-4-1 formation and chipped in with seven goals in all competitions, including a brace against Aston Villa. This diehard blue is still at the club to this day, having made more than 400 appearances, although most have been as a substitute of late.
