Every Current Premier League Club's Biggest Transfer Bust

13. Everton - Davy Klaassen

Ajax has consistently proven to be one of the greatest exporters of elite talents in world football, with a number of legendary players having emerged from the Dutch team's academy.

So, when Everton picked up Ajax captain Davy Klaassen for £24 million, who had just led his boyhood club to the Europa League final the previous season, fans were excited to see how the attacking midfielder would be utilised by manager and countryman Ronald Koeman.

Unfortunately, Koeman's sacking just months later would see Klaassen fall down the pecking order at Goodison Park, making just 7 league appearances during his lone season at the club before being shipped off to Werder Bremen for a cut-price fee in the summer.
