Every Current Premier League Club's Biggest Transfer Bust

12. Leicester City - Ade Akinbiyi

Leicester City pulled off one of the biggest upsets in sporting history by defying the odds to lift the Premier League trophy in 2016. Much of the club's unprecedented success has to be attributed to their recruitment, signing world-class players like Jamie Vardy, N'golo Kante, and Riyad Mahrez for relatively small sums.

However, prior to their current spell in the top flight Leicester were more than capable of bringing in some serious transfer duds, perhaps best exemplified by their purchase of Ade Akinbiyi.

A prolific talent outside of the top flight, the powerful forward failed to make the grade in the Premier League despite a promising first season, and would ultimately leave for Charlton just two years later.
