10. Graham Potter - Brighton And Hove Albion

Chelsea's Frank Lampard celebrates after the final whistle

Like some of his English contemporaries on this list, Brighton & Hove Albion boss Graham Potter would cut his teeth in management on the continent after enjoying a solid but unspectacular playing career.

Turning out for the likes of Birmingham and Stoke City during the early portion of his playing career, Potter played a solitary season in the Premier League at Southampton, and even appeared for England U-21 while at The Dell before hastily moving on to West Brom and spending the rest of his career outside of the top flight.

In his final season as a professional, Potter would demonstrate a previously unseen aptitude for goalscoring, ending his final term with a career-best 6 league goals before hanging up his boots in 2005.
