Bournemouth's improbable rise from the fourth tier of English football to the Premier League in under a decade is among the most impressive in the history of the game, with current manager Eddie Howe playing his part both on the pitch and in the dugout.

Howe began his career at the Cherries earning a reputation as a dependable talent before eventually embarking on uneventful spells at Portsmouth and Swindon before returning to his boyhood club in 2004 and seeing out the remainder of his career at Dean Court.

Though Howe was already beloved among the Bournemouth faithful, he would ascend into legendary status after taking the managerial reigns by saving the club from relegation in his first season in charge.
