Julio Arca has joined up with Dick Advocaat's backroom staff to provide coaching assistant for the Sunderland youth teams. A report from The Northern Echo also reveals that Arca would love to manage the Black Cats one day, and is currently working towards his UEFA coaching qualifications. The Argentinian has also joined forces with fellow former-SAFC star Gary Bennett, a scheme which has seen the pair provide coaching in local schools. Arca's involvement with the club's youth programme will be a welcome one, especially for the many fans who still consider him one of the finest Sunderland players of recent years. Graduates of the Sunderland academy include Duncan Watmore and Tom Beadling, a pair who recently joined the senior squad on their tour of North America. Current Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson and Newcastle midfielder Jack Colback also came up through the ranks on Wearside.
