Fantasy Football: 5 Essential Transfers For Week 3

2. Edin Dzeko

Edin DzekoValue: £7.7 Million Club: Manchester City Points In GW2: 8 Sticking with the City vs Hull game for a moment and moving a little further up the field to Edin Dzeko, the Bosnian striker who is expected to score bags of goals against the Tigers on Saturday. Dzeko has been given a chance to prove himself under new manager Pellegrini this season, and has been given the nod over the likes of new recruits Stevan Jovetic and Alvaro Negredo in the opening round of fixtures, a decision that surprised most. The 27-year-old only started in 28% of City's Premier League games last season and was used as a substitute in half of them. But this season has been a different story with the former Wolfsburg ace starting each of his side's first two games, playing 90 minutes in the first and 69 minutes in the second, scoring once and providing the same number of assists. With Jovetic lacking match fitness, Dzeko is likely to get the nod again against Hull and could end up bagging loads of goals - and points - and might be a good shout when picking your captain for the week.
