Our top striking tip for 2014-15 however is Manchester United's Robin van Persie. The Dutchman endured a torrid injury-stricken campaign in 2013-14 under David Moyes but we're bouncing the Dutchman to bounce back under successor and compatriot Louis van Gaal. Van Gaal succeeded Moyes this summer and has a close working relationship with RVP, and could help get the best out of the Netherlands attacker. Van Persie was on form at this summer's World Cup, scoring THAT header against Spain to go alongside the four he netted at the finals in Brazil, making him the tournament's joint-third top scorer. And we reckon he will replicate that form at club level in 2014-15 by reliving the sort of performances that saw him plunder 26 Premier League goals in 38 appearances during his debut season at Manchester United 12 months ago. If he is able to replicate those goalscoring heroics he is certainly worth the £12.5 million he's currently available for - and more besides. It's worth pointing out that the Dutchman is currently short of match fitness and is a slight doubt for his side's first game of the season against Swansea but when he is fully fit, expect him to bang in the goals that get you the big points.
