Fantasy Football Tips: 5 Essential Transfers For Gameweek 9

5. Dejan Lovren - £5.7 Million

Kicking off this list comes one of the most unexpected success stories of the season so far. Part of a defence that has kept five clean sheets, Dejan Lovren has certainly made a positive impact for the club since his summer move from Lyon. In addition, his presence at the other end has been felt - he netted his first strike in the Liverpool game and assisting (some say scored) the goal that denied Manchester United all 3 points in the last minute on Saturday. All in all, his performances have yielded 51 points so far and allowed his value to increase by £0.2 million from his £5.5 million starting price, and if things continue the way they are, he could continue to increase in value, so snap him up before he becomes too expensive. Lovren will look to add to his tally with another clean sheet when the Saints lock horns with a Fulham side buoyed by their impressive 4-1 triumph against Crystal Palace in their last away game.
