Fantasy Football Tips: 6 Essential Transfers You Must Make In Gameweek 31 - Part 1

Reader's Tip Of The Week

Tip Of The Week Gw30p1

Even though I am an Arsenal supporter, I only have two of their players in my squad. There was even this period of time when I didn't even had any in my roster. Meanwhile, I have my title contender's chief talisman Eden Hazard and impressive defender Branislav Ivanovi‡ in my team, along with Liverpool's deadly strike duo Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suárez. These are the players who I'm religiously hoping that they'll fail badly, but I still put them in my first XI as it's a sound choice from the Fantasy League's point of view. The thing about playing Fantasy Football is that you have to be objective and really pay attention to vital statistics and digits. Remove your confirmation bias and start looking at players' performance with a less subjective judgement. Do I really want a £13m striker who isn't performing to be in my team just because he is my favorite player? Do I really want to leave out a £5.6m midfielder who assisted 20 times already this season just because he scored against my favorite team? These are the questions that you will have to ask yourself and follow up with sound, unprejudiced decisions in order to succeed at this game. What this has done to me is that I learnt to be more observant, and I enjoy watching soccer more. Everytime Suárez, who I captained, lets in a screamer or my favorite team's striker, who I don't have in my Fantasy team, missed a penalty, I wouldn't be that affected because I'm performing well in the game due to those scenarios which were just described. When viewing things objectively, certain things we missed out earlier on tend to gradually become more distinct as we correct our biasness. And that's a quick beginner's tip to fast track your way to success. To encourage more interactivity between readers, why not tell me some other tips you would give to new and experienced players alike in the comments section below? I'll select one, add my commentary on top of yours and include it along with your name in Part 2 of this guide released on the 24th of March. Bookmark my page to make sure you don't miss out on it. If you disagree with my recommendations, have other players you think would be a better captain, or simply to ask a question, feel free to leave a comment. I'll see you guys in the second part of this exclusive double gameweek guide.
