Fantasy Football Tips: 9 Essential Transfers You Must Make In Gameweek 30

5. David De Gea

Team: Manchester United (vs Liverpool, home) Position: Goalkeeper Value: £5.7m Selected by: 8.7% Total score: 102 David De Gea has pretty much settled down in England. His cat-like reflexes are back, and other than the occasional error, De Gea has become a commanding presence in a Manchester United side that have kept 3 consecutive clean sheets thus far. You know, for a side, which the newspapers are labelling as, "in crisis", I'm surprised that they kept 6 clean sheets in their last 10 games. However, those were against mid-table sides, and with Liverpool and Manchester City coming up in Gameweeks 30 and 31 respectively, this could spell trouble for the Red Devils. There are a couple of reasons why the Spanish custodian fell under this section. At £5.7m, it might be considered to some as a li'll too expensive for a goalkeeper. And despite conceding nothing in their past 3 games, I still don't quite trust the Manchester United backline, who have a habit of conceding spectacularly when facing formidable opponents. For me personally, I'll only recommend getting De Gea if you don't currently have a Manchester United defender in your team. Having two United players in the defence is not a bad risk at all, but there are simply more choices with better odds.
