One of the more expensive players in the game at £11m, Sergio Agüero ranked as the fourth best forward in Fantasy Premier League last season, scoring 21 goals and making six assists for a total of 169 points during City's record-breaking run to the title.

Remarkably, in spite of those super stats, last season was one of Aguero's poorest in terms of fantasy points. He earned 175 the year before, 184 the year before that, and 216 in the 2014-15 season. This downward trend might seem a little worrying, but the Argentinian is still one of the very best strikers in Europe and has scored 20 or more goals in his last four seasons.

He's one of those rare strikers who never seems to go on goal droughts for more than a couple of games, and that can be very valuable to fantasy managers. Aguero provides a very consistent output of fantasy points, and with City adding Riyad Mahrez to their ranks in a £60m deal, he has one more top class player by his side to feed him chances. Under Pep Guardiola, City are always going to score bags of goals and Agüero can be expected to net a lot of them in the coming months.
