Fantasy Premier League 2018-19: 10 Tips For A Successful Season

7. Take Advantage Of Wrongly-Classified Players

Continuing the theme of getting the most value from your squad, a good trick is to go through the list of fantasy players and try to identify any individuals who have been classed in the wrong section. For example, last season's top scorer, Mohamed Salah, is still classed as a midfielder despite playing in a very advanced forward role.

Adding Salah to your squad is essentially like giving yourself a free forward, as he'll only be taking up a midfield slot in your weekly lineups. Alexis Sanchez is another player technically classed as a midfielder despite playing high up the pitch and scoring a lot of goals.

The promoted teams have a few examples of this too. Wolves' Diogo Jota, who scored 17 times last season, counts as a midfielder despite often playing as part of the frontline in a 3-4-3 formation. Fulham's top scorer, Ryan Sessegnon, is also classed in the midfield section despite being his side's main goal threat.

There are many examples of wrongly-classified players to uncover, and you can also find some players in the 'Defenders' section who will actually be employed as wing-backs and have a whole lot of opportunities for goals and assists.
