Fantasy Premier League Tips: 10 Best Pound For Points Strikers

1. Romelu Lukaku - £11.5m

Coming in at a hefty £11.5m, Romelu Lukaku is the third most expensive player in this year's Fantasy Premier League, with only Harry Kane and Alexis Sanchez priced higher. He is by no means a bargain, but the Belgian's production can't be argued with. Lukaku finished 2016-17 with 221 points, just three fewer than Kane, and with the duo separated by a £1m price gap, the Man United man looks like a smarter pick-up for 2017-18.

Jose Mourinho's side were often a chore to watch last season, but Lukaku guarantees Premier League goals. We've all heard that criticisms - his first touch is poor, he can't do it against big clubs, etc. - but when it comes to Fantasy points, his numbers can't be argued with. There's no reason to believe he won't have another productive season, particularly if Zlatan Ibrahimovic doesn't return, leaving him as the club's only viable option up front.

£11.5m is a huge outlay, but one that should guarantee a comparable return barring serious injury. You may need to make a few sacrifices to get hold of him, but you're pretty much guaranteeing a decent points haul every single week.
