Fantasy Premier League Tips: 10 Best Pound For Points Strikers

2. Joshua King - £7.5m

Bournemouth's Joshua King enjoyed comfortably the most productive season of his career in 2016-17. The Norwegian international was hardly prolific prior to that campaign, notching just 17 goals from 142 total games. He almost doubled that total with 16 strikes from 36 Premier League appearances last year, usually playing in a more withdrawn role behind Callum Wilson or Benik Afobe.

His form has drawn Tottenham Hotspur's interest, but for now, King is staying put. Despite finishing with the fifth highest points today (178) among forwards last season, his services will cost just £7.5m in this year's Fantasy game, which should represent tremendous value for money.

King does come with an element of risk. For all the improvements he has made, there's every chance that last season was an anomaly, and he'll revert to his old form in 2017-18. Still, his lowly price tag means he's more worth a punt. His importance to Eddie Howe's middling side ensures that King is guaranteed game time, and he'll likely have the opportunity to improve on last year's meagre assists total (2) while playing behind the prolific Jermain Defoe.
