Fantasy Premier League Tips: 11 Best Cheap Players For 2014-15
11. Tim Howard - Goalkeeper
There were very few goalkeepers better than Tim Howard at this summer's World Cup - and even fewer who had internet memes created in their honour. Howard excelled for the United States at the finals in Brazil and was one of his country's stand-out performers. Against Belgium, Howard made 16 saves to almost single-handedly keep his side in contention - a tally of stops unmatched since such World Cup records began. As such, the Everton keeper received widespread praise from both fans, pundits and players, while Twitter was awash with memes of things Howard could save. He will return to club duty with the Toffees this season and will once more be No.1 at Goodison Park, and if he can replicate his heroics in Brazil at domestic level, £5.5 million would appear to make him a bargain. Everton take on newly-promoted side Leicester in their opening game and you'd have to put money on Roberto Martinez's rejuvenated side keeping a clean sheet. Value: £5.5 million
