Fantasy Premier League Tips: 11 Best Cheap Players For 2014-15
10. Rafael - Defender
Given Manchester United's dire season last time out under David Moyes, it is understandable to not want to pick too many United players in your Fantasy Football team. The Theatre of Dreams bore witness to more than its fair share of nightmares in 2013-14, but under new manager Louis van Gaal, things could be different. Van Gaal is set to deploy a 3-4-1-2 formation next season - as he has throughout much of the club's pre-season tour of the United States - meaning wing-backs will come to the fore. There is an opportunity for attack-minded defenders such as Rafael to flourish under the Dutchman's new system, and at just £5.5 million, the Brazilian is one of the cheapest defenders on Fantasy Premier League. Better yet, United have - on paper at least - six favourable opening fixtures in which they take on the three promoted teams - Burnley, QPR and Leicester - and also strugglers Sunderland, West Ham and Swansea. United take on the Swans in their first game and you'd fancy them to come away with three points and, most likely, a clean sheet to boot. Value: £5.5 million
