Fantasy Premier League Tips: Best Bargain Buys And Flailing Flops

Defenders

Managers, when attempting to choose a great team constantly overlook defenders and their point scoring capabilities are often underrated. A testament to this is Seamus Coleman, who has raced out of the blocks this season with an astounding 26 points. Coleman is well worth the money at just £5 million of your £100 million budget and @Hayesyyyy (manager of Muddy Balls) had this to say on the right-back; "I'd easily say that Seamus Coleman has been my bargain of the season so far. He is rapidly turning into a right-footed version of England left-back Leighton Baines". No surprise when, for £1.5 million more than Coleman, you could get Manchester United captain, Patrice Evra. The expensive full-back has barely even left the blocks yet this season and has abysmal points total of 12, means the 3rd highest costing defender on the game is an absolute waste of money. Norwich's Steven Whitaker and Southampton's Jose Fonte have also made impressive starts to the season, both scoring goals in the opening few games and accumulating more points than what has been expected of them.
